This item is:Fuel injection ECU For Opel Monza 3.0E and GSE, also Vauxhall Senator A 3.0CDi and 3.0i from 1983, chassis no D1003807 onwards (Bosch LE injection, yellow/orange injector plugs)

In good condition. It is tested and guaranteed for six months.
Guaranteed in good working order for six months. Usually they are tested on my own car for a week or two. These items are getting hard to get hold of in good secondhand condition, hence the price, which is on an exchange basis (send me the old one back after you have received the replacement)
If your Monza or Senator is running rough or coughing out black smoke, your ECU may be faulty. Most likely it will be due to water dripping into the footwell and drowning the ECU. You can easily see whether the ECU is damaged because at the bottom corner there will be discolouration of the alloy casing, like a bath tide mark. The ECU is behind the carpet panel on the right-hand side of the drivers footwell. If water is getting in, it will be due to rust at the top of the A-panel, poorly sealed aerial holes through the A-panel, leaking windscreen seal, or in extreme cases rust holes in the bulkhead and footwell.
The guarantee does not include water ingestion or electronic mayhem caused by unplugging with the ignition switched on. Always make sure the ignition is switched off before unplugging or plugging in the ECU. Also unplug the item if welding is carried out on your car. Guarantee is void if you do not post me back your old item. Other than these exclusions, if the ECU goes faulty at any time during the first six months, I will replace it with another.
Warning -do be careful when you fit these items. The injection wiring loom on these cars goes very close to the throttle cable assembly and it can chafe against the cable (causing electrical faults) or even jam the throttle. This happened to me once on a scrap car, which nearly went through the workshop doors before I managed to stop it. So when changing an ECU, make sure the wiring is secure and pushed well out of the way of the throttle pedal! There is supposed to be a retaining clip that holds it up, but on most cars this has long since broken away.
